Today I continued learning Ai while finishing shirt #1 from another set of shirt projects. This time, the design includes the sun from the Philippine flag and since it's not your ordinary sun I had to create one from scratch. (I tried downloading PH sun vectors but they were not satisfactory).
As I said earlier i'm novice lvl 5 in Ai so I had to google another how-to and guess what, I found this draw the Philippine sun tutorial. The instructions were for Corel but the basics were there. So I said, (with deep radio announcer voice) let there be light and there was light. Here comes the sun! wahahaha ^0^
Okay so everything was going well and I was well into the job. I tried experimenting different layouts and finally made up my mind. But then I noticed that the image was not vectorized! I know I hit expand, i know i did. In retrospect, while half-way through the project, I overlooked the lagging and the fonts error, and the dysfunctional select tool and the blah blah blah. I should have figured out that something was wrong. Alas, one thing concluded, the scoundrel must have been a bug.

So now I need to start all over again. Dad saw smoke coming out of my head and told me that at times downloaded font comes free with a delectable virus. I could have released radio-active tantrums but nah it wasn't worth my ATPs. (Brain stew -___-) Hmmm, after some thought, I realized that starting all over again isn't that bad. I would like to change a lot of stuff in this layout, anyways.
So that was it, aside from killing monsters i also need to vanquish bugs, such is the journey towards creativity. And that would be lesson 3. XD
